WHAT IS IT?

The Real-World Security Primer™ (RWSP™) is a practical hands-on training course that is intended to introduce those in general-but-technical-IT-jobs who are new to cybersecurity to fundamental real-world issues related to cybersecurity.

The focus is to educate the attendee on fundamental cybersecurity-related issues and also to act as a preparatory course for those wanting to attend the more in-depth and advanced Organizational Systems Security Analyst™ certification course and practical examination.

The RWSP™ training course is instructor-led and contains various practical exercises to help attendees understand the topics covered by the instructor. More importantly, there is a real-world focus on the reasons why certain topics are covered, and this is designed to assist attendees in understanding fundamental issues involved in the modern cybersecurity landscape.

Those who want to start their journey towards becoming a cybersecurity practitioner will find the RWSP™ training course a useful tool for introducing them to the modern issues encountered in real-world cybersecurity, and also the perfect stepping-stone for moving towards attending the Organizational Systems Security Analyst™ certification course and eventually taking the Organizational Systems Security Analyst™ practical certification examination.

WHO IS IT MEANT FOR?

• Existing IT-professionals who are moving into a technical cybersecurity-practitioner role;

• Those wanting to start a technical practitioner-level career in cybersecurity;

• New general-IT-position-hires who have no work experience in cybersecurity but who are onboarded into cybersecurity-practitioner roles;

• Those without any cybersecurity experience but who have been given brand new responsibilities for the cybersecurity and cyberdefense of their commercial organization's infrastructure (networks, systems, apps, etc).

HOW LONG IS THE COURSE?

2-day training class, with each day starting by 0900 hrs and ending no earlier than 1900 hrs.
