Certification & Training Programmes
ThinkSECURE's IT-Security Training & Certification Programmes address the fundamental question: Who Trains The Security Professionals?
We strongly believe that only lab-based certification programmes and practical lab-based examinations are the only true means of validating a candidate's true technical skill and ability to apply methodology and knowledge learnt to new scenarios.
Unlike most other certification bodies, we're not interested in churning out tons of so-called "certified" people whose main ability is to exam-cram theory-based MCQ exam papers. We're all about offering 100% practical, relevant, hands-on technical training that will actually help the people who have to technically execute IT-Security.
That's why we've gone the other way with having pure lab-based, hands-on practical examinations for all our certification programmes. Sure it's more expensive to develop, run and maintain such a certification setup - but if doctors and lawyers are held to high standards, how much more so an IT-Security Professional who is tasked with protecting vital infrastructure essential to the continued safe operation of his or her organization's and country's activities and commerce!
ThinkSECURE's instructors and our Partners' Certified Trainers are active IT-Security practitioners who bring a wealth of real-world experience to the classroom. The trainers who deliver ThinkSECURE's practical technical certification programmes are all ThinkSECURE-accredited and go through a continuous trainer's quality-assurance programme.
Another thing that sets ThinkSECURE apart from other certification bodies is that we believe in contributing back to the IT-Security community in a practical way through various programs such as the design and organizing of Security Tournaments as well as releasing tools and research findings.
From the menu on the left, you can choose from a variety of practical technical, lab-based IT-Security Certification Programmes, covering topics ranging from enterprise to wireless auditing and secure wireless deployment.
Why Get A ThinkSECURE Certification?
Unlike many other IT-Security certifications, ThinkSECURE's certification exams are practical lab-based exams. This means that certification candidates must obtain results through a series of technical actions and command entries against certain target infrastructure in order to be able to answer various questions.
This means that the attendee is tested for application of knowledge, and not just memorizing facts for an examination, spewing them out and forgetting them later. Only through practical lab-based examinations can the true technical capability of the candidate be properly assessed, under time-based pressure that is commonly found in real-life scenarios.
Because we do NOT use non-lab-based theory-only MCQ exams, our Certifications offer the following advantages:
ensuring that only candidates demonstrating ability to apply knowledge practically in a real-world pressure scenario get certifiied.
stopping pretenders who only know how to memorize facts from attaining and thus devaluing and spoiling the certification over the long run.
safeguarding the investment that course attendees and their employers make in attaining certification.
helping employers identify that someone who is ThinkSECURE-Certified is more likely to be able to apply knowledge and handle pressure because he took a practical lab-based exam and not just a theory-based MCQ one.
providing the IT-Security industry with a pool of technical security professionals who are considerably more capable and self-motivated.
But don't just take our word for it - here's what some participants had to say about our trainers...
